At Orchid, we are passionate about creating a happy, healthy and supportive work environment for you. Full time employees (those with 30 hours or more per week) are eligible to participate in medical, life and disability insurance benefits plus a 401(k). Our health insurance includes comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance plans beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Orchid’s employees are included in our dedication to providing an opportunity for people to live a better life. We offer a free wellness program which includes incentives. Participation in many of these programs can actually add incentive dollars to your health benefits plan which can be used to pay for medical and other related expenses.

Orchid provides a variety of resources to help enhance employees' quality of life in many different ways. The following resources and benefits are available:

  • Paid holidays
  • Resources to assist with personal topics including legal issues, family concerns and child or elder-care needs
  • Personal time off
  • Family leave time off

Retirement Planning – Saving for the Future

Orchid makes saving for the future easy. We sponsor a 401(k) plan on behalf of employees. Both full and part-time employees may participate in the plan. On the first of the month following 30 days of employment, employees are eligible to enroll in the plan and contribute up to the IRS limit in any calendar year. The Company provides a Discretionary Match 401(k) plan through Fidelity. You may contribute up to the IRS limit (currently $16,500 with a catch-up of $5,500 if you are 50 or older) in any calendar year. At the end of each year, Orchid determines the amount of the match. A match is typically put into your account during the first quarter of the new year. The plan has a 100% vesting schedule, so you are fully vested in both your contribution and the company match.

Tuition Reimbursement – Contributing to Your Future

The Employee Tuition Assistance Program provides eligible employees with the opportunity to acquire the education necessary to enhance their skills or job-related capabilities through participation in courses of study at accredited colleges, universities and technical schools. Orchid encourages employees to take advantage of all opportunities that will assist them in the development of their job-related skills and, in turn, enhance their job proficiency. Employees must receive Company approval prior to enrolling in classes in order to receive reimbursement.
